Board Members

 

The Progress Centre for Early Intervention Board of Directors are responsible for acting in the best long-term interests of the Progress Centre for Early Intervention and its community and will bring to the task of informed decision-making, a broad knowledge and an inclusive perspective. Board Members are collectively accountable to the community, funders, and other stakeholders. They are accountable for Progress Centre's performance in relation to its mission and strategic objectives and for the effective stewardship of financial and human resources.
The By-Laws recommend Directors be nominated from: active members of the Canadian Progress Club - Halifax; parents of children who are at such time active participants or recent participants; and community representatives who have knowledge and/or interest in Early Intervention such as health professionals, early childhood educators.
Each Director serves on at least one committee and participates in fundraising and public relations for the organization. The Board meets every January, March, May, June (AGM), September, and November.
