About the Progress Centre

Serving the Halifax Regional Municipality since 1985, the Progress Centre for Early Intervention is a non-profit Resource and Community Outreach Program for Infants and Young Children with Developmental Delays.

WINTER WEATHER & PROGRESS CENTRE

Storm Day Closure:
The Progress Centre will be closed if public schools in the Halifax Regional Municipality have been closed.
Should the weather and/or road conditions clear on a storm day by late morning, the Centre may open at 1:00pm.

Snow Mid-Day:
Centre closure mid-day may take place at the discretion of the Executive Director or Executive Assistant.
Outreach staff are encouraged to use their judgment during snow fall and icy conditions to maintain their safety.

Open But No Playgroups:
If public schools in the Halifax Regional Municipality are open but public school Stock buses are cancelled, the Centre is open, but in-centre playgroups will not take place.  A call ahead to the office at 423-2686 will assure any questions.
